CHILDRENS MINISTRY

About the Groups

Glen Waverley Anglican Church has been blessed with a large number of families and children that regularly attend our 10.30 am Service. Sunday mornings are highlighted by the involvement of up to 80 children in programs that help them learn about Jesus, as well as have fun together. And the children do have a great time!

Our Sunday Club is split into five age groups, and there is also a Creche for the really little kids, who enjoy playing together and sharing morning tea. Its such a joy to see all these kids enjoying themselves.

We also have opportunities for children and families to mix together and have fun at one of our numerous family events, and to worship together in family services.

Our Leaders

Our childrens ministry could not function without the dedication of many leaders. Sunday Club alone currently has 29 leaders, most of whom have children of their own attending the groups. Some also have teacher training.

Our leaders follow material purchased by the church to help them effectively and systematically teach the Bible. Leaders are also required to undergo a National Police Record Check* and follow the strict protocols set out in the Anglican Churchs Duty of Care Handbook**.

* To download a "Consent to Check and Release National Police Record (VP Form 820A)" please click here.

** The Duty of Care Handbook should also be read in conjunction with the Duty of Care Appendices. For more information on duty of care please visit the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne's website.
