WOODWORKERS

The aim of the Woodworkers is the development of fellowship and care through a common interest in woodwork. Members may work on their own project, assist handicapped members, or work on other projects. As the result of strokes and/or illnesses, some members are handicapped and receive assistance with their activities from the more able bodied members. It is rewarding to see the improvement in our handicapped members and see the benefits to their families of five hours a week free time.

Woodworkers meets from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm each Wednesday, from February to mid- December. The group will undertake custom work within its capacity, such as small stools, kitchen ladders, phone book tamers, etc.

All members are expected to travel to and from woodwork under their own steam and to bring their lunches with them. A minimal charge is made to cover the cost of biscuits, tea and coffee.
