MU & Friends

MU Australia is a part of the world wide Mothers Union. We are united in prayer with more than 3.6 million MU members in 76 countries throughout the world. Many of us are Anglican, most of us are women, but membership in the Mothers Union is open to any baptized Christian.

Our Vision
Our vision is of a world where God's love is shown through loving, respectful, and flourishing relationships.

Aim and Purpose
Our aim and purpose is to demonstrate the Christian faith in action by the transformation of communities worldwide through the nurture of the family in its many forms.

Our group helps by knitting beanies for the Mission to Seafarers, making clothes for stillborn and prem babies, providing play mats for the Enhanced Maternal Health workers, and fundraising to support other MU Outreach Projects within Australia, Papua New Guinea. and Melanesia.

We also provides prayerful and practical support for parish activities which include helping with the playgroup, visiting new parents, and providing celebration gifts for the 8.00 am congregation.

The Mothers' Union Prayer

Loving Lord,
We thank you for your love so freely given to us all.
We pray for families around the world.
Bless the work of the Mothers' Union
as we seek to share your love
through the encouragement, strengthening
and support of marriage and family life.
Empowered by your Spirit,
may we be united in prayer and worship,
and in love and service reach out
as your hands across the world.
In Jesus' name.
Amen
