Mates Plus

Mates Plus is a group of guys from the Glen Waverley Anglican Church (GWAC) that provide fellowship to others, specially those who no longer enjoy the benefits of having workmates.

We have outings on the third Thursday of most months visiting places of interest pre-determined by the mates. Transport is either by public transport or private vehicle, and the outing usually includes a luncheon.

We reach out to men recently retired, retrenched, separated, widowed, and fellows whose partners may have entered care facilities. We look out for fellow retirees, especially those in need of male companionship once enjoyed at work and to ensure that any individual needs are identified and catered for.
