Mission, Values, Vision

GWAC's Mission, Values, Vision 2030 and our focus areas are highlighted as below.

Our Missional Purpose

To bring glory to God by being a caring community making, maturing and mobilising disciples of Jesus Christ, locally and globally.

Our Values

GWAC's values describe the culture that the work of the Holy Spirit fosters in us as disciples of Jesus Christ. These values grow out of the gospel of grace, which is the power of God for salvation, and they find their ultimate expression in the person of Jesus Christ, the crucified, risen, ascended Lord.

Transformational Discipleship

From safe to surrendered

The gospel brings about transformation that leads to maturity in Christ, making it possible for us to love the Lord our God with heart, soul, mind and strength.

Radical Generosity

From self to others

The gospel compels us to be radical in our generosity and compassionate in how we respond to all those we encounter.

Authentic Community

From isolated to connected

The gospel enables us to genuinely grow into community and model what it means to be in community.

Missional Living

From consumer to mission

The gospel calls us to be a community of disciples on mission together, as we live out our faith in word and deed, locally and globally.

Our Vision

(VISION 2030)

Deeper Faith

We are called to serve Christ, whether that is in the workplace, neighbourhood or vocationally. Our focus on deeper faith includes a rich Biblical diet that is applied in our lives through teaching, mentoring and encouragement to foster a deep faith that glorifies God and refreshes and nourishes the soul. We are creating clear pathways for people to consider vocational ministry and to grow in how they use gifts their to serve both locally and globally.

Brighter Hope

Followers of Jesus have a living hope that transforms lives and the people of today need this hope! We seek to reach out to all ages while proactively addressing the gap we see in the demographic of children and families.

Wider Love

We want to be good news in the local community. As we seek to share the gospel in word and deed we hope to create and offer community and relationship beyond these walls that we might have a wider love. We are growing our local mission and community connection through a new regular community meal. We will continue to develop our property as a place that serves the local community, shares Christ, and strengthens connections with local groups and services.

Richer Worship

We are seeking to invest in multicultural bi-lingual outreach, discipleship and worship. The nations are on GWAC’s doorstep and therefore our wide love must go even further as we continue in cross cultural mission. We are prayerfully seeking to continue to grow as a multicultural, bi-lingual worshipping community

Five Strategic Directions of our Mission

Worshipping

We will seek to be a community that is bringing glory to God, Gospel centred, worshipping the Triune God and growing as a prayerful, Spirit led community under the absolute authority of scripture.

Inclusive

Believing that all people are created in the image of God, with equal value, worth and dignity; we seek to be a community that is welcoming and safe for all people. We will seek to demonstrate God’s love and justice in action: sharing community, hospitality, practical aid and pastoral care.

Missional

We will seek to be disciple makers. As GWAC we welcome all people, reach out to those around us and send people both local and global as we proclaim the good news of Jesus in word and deed.

Growing

We will seek to be a disciple making community. As GWAC we welcome all people, reach out to those around us and send people both local and global as we proclaim the good news of Jesus in word and deed

Serving

We will seek to be a mobilising and serving community, encouraging and equipping each other to use our gifts in God’s kingdom work.
